DEMO DERBY - TOURNAMENT OF DESTRUCTION

Saturday Night at the Track: Demo Derby!

Start your engines and crash your way into victory! TheAgencyStar will be holding the first of many demo derby tournaments in the coming season with the Fall Quarter Tournament of Destruction starting things off on September 25th. Each player can register for 1 or 2 matches at a cost of $2 per match. Depending on the number of participants, a set number of players will battle it out in each match with the top drivers advancing to the final match where it’s every man for himself until we have a single winner.

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the final match. So come out and test your driving skills in the stadium as you smash and crash you’re way to victory while fans cheer you on from the grandstand!

If you have every wanted to run your own fantasy football franchise but with a bunch of blood thirsty Gladiators ready to crush your opponent's skull in...then have we got something for you, Gladiator Wars League!

Create and build up your own Gladiator School. Buy, Sell and Trade your Gladiators to other Schools or be the highest bidder at the monthly meat market. Pit your School’s Gladiators against others in various battles held every month. See your Gladiators advance in levels as they earn XP from winning battles and for every “Outright Kill”. School rankings are based on total money (Denarii) generated from winning Gladiatorial contests, betting on the winning School, and all assets and liabilities in keeping your Gladiator stock fit for the next month. Does your School have what it takes to climb the ladder of success in becoming the top Gladiatorial School in the land?

Join some of us from TheAgencyStar this month for an Arachnid filled fun time. If you have ever wanted to experience what it would be like to lead your trooper platoon through Klendathu’s twist and turns of canyon rock faces while being attacked by hordes of bugs, then have we got something special for you. All terrain, miniatures, rules and supplies provided.

ReCon Summer 2010 is coming.

The next installment of ReCon is fast approaching. If you like miniatures games, either historical or military based, this is the place to be.

TheAgencyStar-B-Q was a BLAST!

Another great year at TheAgencyStar-B-Q. We had almost 20 people show, ate a lot of food and played a wide selection of games. Thanks to everyone for bringing a little something extra to the buffet table. I thought the massive amounts of grilled corn on the cob was a serious hit and will plan for that next year as well. I was litterally stuffed the whole day.

Games, games and more games! I think the list of games brought was too long to mention, but the games played (and multiple sessions of games played) consisted of Castle Panic, Kingsburg, Lord of the Rings, Battlestar Galactica, Last Night on Earth, Stacked, Probe, Pandemic and a huge game of Apples to Apples to finish the night. Five winners took home some new board games as door prizes as well, so we all may be playing some new games soon.

During the evening we set up in the garage and had a premier showing of Über Goober on the big projector screen while we ate pizza and various other goodies. It was really good to see everyones take on the world of gaming and how everyone fits into it. A lot of pictures of this fantastic event were taken and you can find them in the Surveillance Photos section.

I would like to say "Thank You" to everyone that participated. You all made this a very fun and exiting time. Can't wait till next year.

TOURNAMENT OF DESTRUCTION WINNER

Andy "Bloodlust" Jagodzinski - 1st place winner!

The first Summer Nationals Tournament of Destruction is in the books. We had a total of 8 participants show up and play. It was a metal crushing and radiator smashing good time for all. Two consecutive heats were ran where 8 cars took to the arena in the first heat and 8 in the second. The top 8 cars battled it out to the end in the final and the top 3 finishers went home with prizes.

Andy "Bloodlust" Jagodzinski took home 1st place while Ed Knutson took home 2nd place and I (Trigger) took home 3rd. Together they won over $70 in store credit to be used at Outpost 2000. Pictures can be see in the Surveillance Photos section. Congratulations to everyone for making this a very fun and successfull event.

THEAGENCYSTAR-B-Q

TheAgencyStar-B-Q is right around the corner!

It’s that time again! The yearly grilling and gaming event known only as TheAgencyStar-B-Q is in a couple weeks. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than to play a bunch of games with your friends and eat a bunch of grilled BBQ. This is a “BYOB” (Bring Your Own Beverage) & a “BYOM” (Bring Your Own Meat) get together as a couple grills will be available to grill on along with yours truly (Trigger) as your personal Grill Master. There will be lots of games to play, ranging from Last Night on Earth to Redneck Life, A Touch of Evil to Castle Panic, Fury of Dracula to Monsters Menace America and many many more. If you have a game you want to try out or have a favorite game you love to play, bring it along to play.

SPECIAL MOVIE NIGHT

A special event showing of Über Goober will be shown outside on a big projection screen. This is a 90 minute movie about gamers and the gaming world we all have come to know and love. It has a great interview with Gary Gygax, the creator of D&D, at the end as well. I would highly recommend anyone who is an avid gamer of Miniatures, Role-Playing or LARPing to attend this showing.

WARHAMMER 40K WINNERS & PHOTOS

Rick, Luke and Allen are the top 3 finishers!

The first Warhammer 40k Tournament is in the books. What an awesome time we had. There were 6 players in all as they played a round robin style of 3 games, adding up their points. There were 6 different armies so everyone got to play against someone new. Tables consisted of all sorts or urban decor and even pulled out my SST terrain boards for some cool 40k destruction. Rick ended up in first with Luke squeeking out second by 26 points from Allen. Cant wait for the next event. Took a lot of pictures of our time there and you can find them in the Surveillance Photos section.

Each player can register for 1 or 2 matches at a cost of $5 per match. Depending on the number of participants, a set number of players will battle it out in each match with the top drivers advancing to the final match where it’s every man for himself until we have a single winner.

The Fall, Winter and Spring Quarter Tournamnet of Destruction 1st place winners will be granted 1 FREE match if they bring in their trophy.
