Cool
So it looks like we have interest in Agents of Oblivion for our Spring session. We will be running this at the same time as the pirates. I have an awesome starting mission almost complete and should include a lot of the espionage ellements in it like infiltration, deception, investigation and the Unknown!

I have four characters already completed but if players that have had role-playing experience want to create their own, I would allow that as well. Want to make that ubber axe swinging combat character but in a new setting? Or how about that smart brainiac characater who knows everything? Or how about a character who is a master of disguise? Well here's your chance to step into a whole new world and broaden your experience. I guarantee that you will be surprised and have a lot of fun in this genre as I have a lot of experience running games in this setting.

So if you are interested or this sounds cool, please let Kelly or I know and we can hook you up with what you need to know. This is going to be very fun! Very Happy

So it looks like right now we have 3 for sure for Agents. Black Cat, Youknow, and Anderson. My question is this.

1. Do you want to start play right away and use pregenerated characters, Oracle, Molotov, Whisper, Cypher?

OR

2. Want to create your own character on the first day?

I think I will want to create my own character because I want to be a ranged support-type character , like a sniper/sharpshooter. Either that, or a demolitions expert of some sort.

I wouldn't mind making my own character, but I think I might play whisper since she caught my interest.

So after talking with you three, we have decided to go with the pregenerated Agents that I have ready to go. So the first day we start we will go through mission INTEL where you see what the mission is that the Agency is assigning you to and where you can select the necessary GEAR to help you in completing your mission. The following Agents are what everyone decided on playing.

Anderson - Cypher
Youknow - Molotov
Blackcat - Whisper

If someone else comes in they can play Oracle if needed.

I created a small AoO database from my existing espionage database and plugged in info for these Agents. This is so much easier to hand out to players so they can get a feel for their Agent.

Oracle - Smooth Talking Ex CIA Agent - Pointman
Cypher - Criminal Computer Programer - Hacker
Whisper - Stealthy Master Thief - Infiltrator
Molotov - Explosive Ex Spetznas Special Forces - Soldier
Holeshot - Fast Driving Daredevil Driver & Mechanic - Wheelman
Ricochet - Trick Shooting Weapons Specialist - Triggerman

Just so everyone gets a heads up, Agents is a little different than Pirates as far as Gear goes. You don't just own the stuff you use or carryt around like Pirates. You "Gear Up" before each mission from the Agency surplus and then when your done with the mission, Gear gets turned in. So we will be going through Intel to see what your mission is, then "Gearing Up" and then playing if time permits. Cool

The Agents boarded a private Oblivion jet and set out for Iowa. It only took a couple hours and when they finally landed in Cedar Falls, a dark blue Cadillac Escalade was waiting for them. Stowing their gear they climbed in as “Molotov” drove them into town and to their next destination, the main street bar & grill. The blue neon signage out front was glowing proudly as “Whisper” decided to take a little walk about the area and try and secure some accommodations for the team. “Molotov” and “Cypher” enter the building only to see a sea of eyes staring back at them. Outsiders seem to not be very welcomed here as they find a table and sit down. After a little bit of time goes by a middle-aged woman walks over and sits down with them. Their contact, Bridgette Snelling, relays to them information about Clear Water and their heightened security. She also tells them about a public tour that will be taking place tomorrow morning, which would be a good way for the team to see what’s going on and to get a better feel for what they are up against. The contact takes her leave and the two Agents meet up with “Whisper” at a Motel 6 for the night. “Whisper” is still de-gearing when “Molotov” and “Cypher” are going over their next move in one of their rooms when a knock at the door startles them.

KNOCK…KNOCK..KNOCK…..DOMINOES

Both Agents look at each other to see who ordered the pizza and when both of them decline the ordering, they both pull out weapons and advance to the door. Opening the door, they see a pizza box sitting on the floor. Picking it up carefully, “Molotov” sets it on the bed while “Cypher” takes cover in the bathroom. Suddenly a “RIIIIIINNNNGGGGGG” alarm erupts from the box as “Molotov” opens the lid to see a note reading “OUTSIDERS BE GONE” and a bomb of C4 in the middle of where some pizza is cut out with a electronic timer counting down with only 5 seconds on it. Knowing this could be the last moment he has, “Molotov” braces for the blast as he tells “Cypher” to take cover. 3…2…1…0

“Molotov” opens his eyes to see that the bomb did not go off and upon further inspection, it was a fake. To make matters worse, another note was under the pizza saying “NEXT TIME ITS FOR REAL”. With their lives being threatened in this rural little town, “Molotov” goes outside to see a red camero with two shading men inside eyeing their motel. A little recognition from “Molotov” saying hello to the men and they speed off. “Whisper” prepares the rooms in case any more unwanted visitors come in the night while the other two race off in the escalade after the camero. Not wanting to be spotted tailing them, the escalade keeps its distance as the camero leads them to none other than the Clear Water bottling plant. The two men park and go inside as the Agents make a stakeout on the place down the street. One man from the camero comes out fully dressed in a security guard uniform and begins to make his rounds. The Agents duck and use a side mirror to keep him in view while trying to contact “Whisper” with the COM-Links, but with no luck.

The guard finally continues his rounds after a quick smoke when some static comes over the Agents COM-Links. It takes only seconds to deduce the static is Morse code and the words. “Attacked…Okay…One Hour…Whisper”. The Agents fire up the escalade and take off and as they round a corner street they notice the dome light of the camero light up. Someone was in the car surveying them! Arriving at the motel, they carefully approach “Whispers” room and shine a light through the small window. Seeing a body covered on the bed and not moving raises their alarm. The body then begins to shift and roll over as the two Agents see the face of…

Ya, it was a blast! Razz

In case we have extra people join Agents later, I have created 2 more characters. Agents, Ricochet and Holeshot. One's a Triggerman and the other a Wheelman.

“Whisper” rolls over and squints her eyes as the flashlight shines right in her face. Playing possum in case anyone comes back that was unwanted; the Agents turn in for the night and get a couple hours sleep. In the morning, they gear up for the unexpected as they pile into the SUV and drive over to the tour that’s supposed to start at 9:00 am. Joining only another man and woman for the tour, a lady comes out to greet them and introduces herself as Pamela Barnes. They all sign in at the reception desk and begin the tour as Clear Water information is being transferred as they walk. Entering a long stark white hallway, they walk into the warehouse and shipping area of the plant. “Cypher” and “Molotov” see the two dock doors heavily secured and make a mental note of it as not an accessible access point back into the plant.

Questions abound and employment opportunities become apparent as “Whisper” shows off her skills as a forklift operator before they enter the main manufacturing room. People of every sort are busy working the assembly lines that creates the refreshing beverage. Seeing a security camera in one of the corners, “Whisper” asks to use the restroom. Reluctantly, Miss Barnes directs her to the other side of the building where she passes many doors with name plates next to them. Making a mental note of the names, she sees a security card reader at the end of the door which must lead to the downstairs. Just then a man comes bursting out from the secure door and makes his way to the restroom. Chester Miller is the name on his security badge that “Whisper” expertly sleight oh hands off his body as he passes by. Having a working security card that accesses the lower level is just the thing that the team needs to complete their mission, which is to locate any connection of the company and Pandora.

Returning to the manufacturing room, “Whisper” comes upon a commotion as security has tackled the one man from the tour who was apparently secretly filming while on the tour. As they take him away, the team leaves the building and while they are in the SUV, “Cypher” copies the information from the security ID card to his laptop and transfers the data to a blank card for later use. Not wanting to arouse suspicion, “Whisper” and “Cypher” go back inside and return the security card to lost and found. Asking to retrieve her forgotten purse in the bathroom, Miss Barnes returns the purse as “Whisper” plants one of “Cypher’s” audio bugs on her. As they leave and are back in the SUV, they tune into the audio bugs frequency to overhear Miss Barnes talking to security and saying: “You didn’t have to kill him!”

Leaving the bottling plant, the Agents make their way to a new motel where “Cypher” deconstructs his Micro Tool and fabricates a high end water chemical analyzer. Finding the Clear Water bottles contain a small amount of Tryptoglycein which in high doses over an extended period weakens the user’s ability to fight off persuasion. The phone rings and their contact cries for help in the receiver who says meet her in the lobby. Making their way down to investigate, “Cypher” and “Whisper” check out the lobby and see Pamela Barnes pick up a pink cell phone and walk out. Asking the receptionist, they find out their contact called them and then left with some friends. Something feels like a trap when “Molotov” receives another phone call and a voice telling him where their contact is and harm will come to her if they do not rescue her.

Seeing that the mission could be in jeopardy, the Agents pack up and make their way to the Clear Water Bottling plant. Stealthily making their way to the front door, “Whisper” picks the lock just in time for them to gain access to the entry room. “Cypher” goes to work on the computer terminal when two security guards make their rounds. The Agents duck for cover in the nick of time and evade being discovered. “Cypher” works his magic as he breaks the firewalls and security and gains control of the entire network. Locating some interesting financial documents linking Pandora to a secret project know only as LUX, he copies everything he needs. Accessing the security system and cameras, “Cypher” smirks as he is on the verge of making the Agents disappear as they sneak through the plant by looping the security feeds. The mission just went into overdrive after reading the project’s description which is described as Luminescent Underwater Xenomorphs, a truly unimaginable entity. Will our Agents make it down to the lower basement? What will they find waiting for them if they do?

The Agents quickly made their way down the corridor and through the hallway door just in the nick of time as a security guard entered the plant. Striding down the long stretch of doors, the security camera continues to play a 3 minute loop of an empty hallway; the Agents make it to the secure door leading downstairs. "Whisper" quickly slides the copied security card through the reader as the red light turns green and the door opens. Taking the stairs, they proceed into a large room used for filtering the plants water. The smell of ammonia is rather potent as a low hum from the machinery and water pipes churns throughout the filtration room. “Cypher” takes a crack at the computer terminal while “Whisper” and “Molotov” sneak over to the only other door with a keypad. Suddenly, “Whisper” hears voices coming from behind the door as they all take cover. Four security guards open the door and walk into the now lit room, spy “Cypher” hiding and begin to take defensive positions when “Whisper” takes a shot at the guards. Chaos ensues as the Agents let the lead fly. “Molotov” comes out of hiding and aims his bolt action rifle, squares his sights and rips a bullet through one of the guards head, knocking him to the ground. “Cypher” takes out another guard as the last two remaining guards back pedal into the other room. The Agents follow and take a shot at the hiding guards when they see something light up in a huge water tank. The light begins to pulsate rapidly as it moves over to the side of the tank nearest the guards.

“Splash”..”Splash”…..”Splash”…”Splash”!

Four tentacles wrap themselves around the terrified guard and hauls him into the tank as the waters turn a crimson red due to the LUX’s crippling strength. The Agents eyes widen as a new threat has just materialized and it doesn’t seem happy!

As the water inside the tank began to turn red,” Molotov” stepped into the fray. Unleashing lead at the LUX, he finally began to trade blows with the creature while “Cypher” and “Wisper” took offensive positions. The LUX began to emanate a series of light flashes which progressed more rapidly. The Agents tried to look away as did the remaining guard but to no avail. Digging deep down, the Agents fought of the hypnotic light show but the guard was not as lucky. The guard, who was climbing the crane for a better shot at the LUX, became placid and fell into the pool of water with a splash. Instantly, the creature disengaged with “Molotov” and slithered into the watery pool. The Agents hoped this would be the end of their encounter as they have been receiving internal thoughts from the LUX of misconceived requests. All of a sudden;

“SPLASHHHHH!”

A huge wall of water burst from the containment pool as the body from the guard was jettisoned out in two complete halves directly at “Molotov”. Covered in a wave of watery blood, the LUX resumed combat with the Agents. “Whisper”, taking great aim, unleashed a critical hit on the beast with her semi-automatic pistol. Tentacles flew through the air every which way as the LUX frantically began to defend itself. A last blow to the creature took him down as it slumped to the ground in serious pain. With a last ditch effort, the LUX quickly retreated back into the pool. With a heavy blow to the emergency relief valve, “Molotov” unleashed a torrent of water as he began to drain the pool in hopes of resuming combat. The Agent’s eyes widened as the water drained to reveal a large and very deep pipe in the middle of the tank which the LUX escaped through. Alarms sounded from the tanks breach. Not wasting time, the Agents rushed to the room’s elevator and made their way through a secret tunnel which ended in a deserted garage a quarter of a mile away from the bottling plant.

A successful mission comes to an end as the Agents fly back to D.C. with proof of Pandora’s involvement and debriefing. Turning in their gear, they hope their action in the plant go unnoticed with Pandora and is written off as a company casualty.

Agents "Holeshot" and "Riccochet" read through their new mission, Sonic Boom. Gearing up with some valuable gadgets and gear, they board a private Oblivion jet. Hours fly by as they finally touch down at their destination. The small German airfield is almost deserted as they taxi in. A somewhat confused negotiation of the German language with the airports flight manager and they taxi over to a holding hanger. Regrouping, they order the pilot to refuel and leave them here to complete their mission. With no way back home, they dawn their night vision goggles and begin to search the surrounding hangers. Spying a German militant carrying some sort of rifle or machine gun with military grade boots, they proceed to stalk their prey. Through the now dark night, they come upon not one but two guards around their guarded hanger. After a brief discussion, one guard resumes his patrol around the hanger and out of sight when the other lights up a cigarette. Smoking and walking his beet, the lone guard kneels down to tie his boot when a dull “THWAP” rings out from behind him as “Holeshot” tries to lay the man out with the butt of her shotgun. Dazed and shaken momentarily, the guard tries to shake the cobwebs from his now aching head.

Will our agents subdue him before he sounds the alarm or will they enter the fray right there and their covers blown?

Taking quick action, “Holeshot” cracks the guard over the head, knocking him out cold before he could regain his composure. Sneaking around the side of the hanger, the two agents follow the other guard into the side door. “Ricochet” sneaks into the closest parts room where he encounters a surprised guard whose small caliber sub machine gun jams. The scene quickly escalates and gun fire erupts inside the hanger. “Holeshot” enters the hanger and unloads her shotgun at the German Militants, blowing large holes in their lifeless bodies. Combat spills throughout the hanger as the two agents eliminate more than half of their foes before succumbing to being wounded. Will our agents make it out with the jet prototype or will they have to destroy everything in sight just to save their lives.

The lead flies as the agents unleash a barrage of bullets throughout the metal hanger. Taking down the German militants one by one, they begin to overcome their forces. A new adversary runs into the hanger and bypasses gunfire. “Ricochet” eyes the new intruder and surmises he is the pilot to the jet prototype. Getting hit and damaged by “Ricochet’s” submachine guns, the German jetfighter limps up into the cockpit and shuts the loach. The jet engines ignite with a thrust from the pilot. “Holeshot” rips another lethal round from her shotgun, totally blowing huge chunks of flesh away from her foes. The jet begins to lurch forward as “Ricochet” makes a mad dash for the jet and clambers on top. Taking a quick shot at the safety glass, he takes the butt end of his submachine gun and punches a gaping hole in the loach. Peering in, he sees smoke swirling around inside the jet and then the smell of gas rises through the hole.

Not wanting to ride an exploding time bomb, he quickly tumbles off the moving jet as it clips one of the guards and almost takes his head clean off. Gas pours from one of the gasoline cans hit by “Ricochet” earlier when the jet engines sputter erratically, igniting the pool of gas. The remaining German militant lights up like a Christmas tree as the flames engulf him. “Holeshot” just makes it clear of the roaring ball of fire. Seeing gas leaking from the jet prototype, “Ricochet” takes one last shot at the stream of jet fuel spilling out of the jet. The muzzle flash sparks the gas fumes as the jet throttles headlong out of the hanger. The air erupts in a thunderous whoosh as the pilot hits the throttle, lurching the jet away from the hanger. The jet makes it fifty feet passed the opening of the hanger when the trail of fire catches up to the leaking fighter. A horrendous blast detonates in a fiery sphere of jet fuel laden explosion rocking the agents to the ground. The smoke clears as the agents look at each other with a smile on their faces. They didn’t acquire the jet prototype and bring it back to the agency but all in all it was a good day. Jumping in the other German Tornado TDS the two novice agents set a course for home.
